Guga stands for Get Up, Get Active, and over the coming months that’s exactly what Staff and families at selected Sunrise Senior Living locations will be doing.

Gugafit is a company that has helped families around the UK to take part in over 100 million minutes of exercise and activity since 2009. Over 150 schools and more than  30,000 children have taken part in Gugafit exercise workshops in the last 2 years.

Gugafit is delighted to be working with nine Sunrise Senior living communities around the country and we are determined to help the staff and families of Sunrise residents to live a healthy lifestyle.

Every six weeks Gugafit will visit each location to carry out various health and wellness assessments including Blood Pressure checks, BMI, Body fat % and Lung Function. Gugafit will then design a six week personal exercise programme to help everybody to Get Up, Get Active and achieve their healthy living goals.

The services on offer are open to all family members of residents at the following locations over the next 3 months. If you are a family member of one of Sunrise’s residents then please get in touch with your community to find out the date of Gugafit’s visit to book in for  your appointment.

• Beaconsfield, Sonning, Chorleywood
• Sevenoaks, Frognal, Westbourne

Sunrise Senior living are also leading the way in terms of helping the wider community to live a healthy lifestyle.

As part of the working relationship between Gugafit and Sunrise Senior living, 90 local school’s that surround the chosen communities will receive FREE online membership to www.gugafit.com. This is a benefit to the community that could help over 18,000 families to Get Up, Get Active.
